I've only been to the track once, but my best time was 15.5 at like 90 MPH on my automatic LS. Stick with it Tom. I know how it feels to be dissapointed with time slips.

I ran consistent 15.30's with my automatic SOHC Del Sol on 18" Pirelli's...

It was a bracket racer's dream.

15.8's on bald XGT V4's mounted on 15" Rota Circuit 8's. All runs have been done with my KYB AGX's on their stiffest settings. Perhaps I should just set the rears at their stiffest setting and the fronts on the softest setting?

    Fred,

Do BALD street tires stick better or worse than ones with full tread depth ???

They seem to...or maybe I've just learned how to drag race better. confused On the street when I corner they don't grip at all! At the strip, I don't get much wheelspin and all of my 60' times are 2.2 to 2.3. I've got some Kumho's on the way...we'll see how well they grip.
